Educator’s Earnings and Disbursements Policy

Educator’s Earnings and Disbursements Policy

This Educator’s Earnings and Disbursements Policy is part of Nbparents’ Terms of Service and Educator Addendum (collectively, the “Agreement”). Any capitalized terms not defined in this Policy will have the meaning as defined in the Terms of Service or Educator Addendum.

1. Educator Fee

Educators determine their earnings by setting “How much do you charge per hour.”

Educators are categorized as Online Educators and In-Person Educators:

1.1 Online Educators

To enable you to access and use the Services to offer and sell Classes, Nbparents will charge you an Educator Fee each time a Learner enrolls in your Class.

The “Educator Fee” is defined as Nbparents’ take rate of 30% of the Parent’s payment of a Class Price, and the Educator will receive 70% of the Class Price.

For each section, your payout is calculated as 0.7 × (Class Price × number of enrolled Learners).

1.2 In-Person Educators

In certain regions, Nbparents may provide additional services to Educators, including venue rental, tool rental, and other support services.

For these cases, the “Educator Fee” is defined as Nbparents’ take rate of 50% of the Parent’s payment of a Class Price, and the Educator will receive 50% of the Class Price.

For each section, your payout is calculated as 0.5 × (Class Price × number of enrolled Learners).

1.3 Pricing Guidance

Nbparents does not control the pricing set by independent contractor Educators. However, Educators are expected to reference prevailing market rates when setting their class prices, as pricing is closely linked to student enrollment and overall class demand.

2. Payout Mechanics

a. Payout Logistics

We send payouts to Educators via PayPal.

Regardless of location, all Educators are paid via PayPal in United States Dollars (USD). If you transfer money from PayPal to a bank outside the U.S. that uses a different currency, your bank may charge conversion fees and apply its own exchange rates. Nbparents is not responsible for these charges. Please contact your bank or credit card provider for details.

Please note: PayPal may also deduct transaction fees when you receive your payout. These PayPal fees are the sole responsibility of the Educator or Educator Organization, unless otherwise expressly agreed in writing with Nbparents. Educators are encouraged to review PayPal’s official fee schedule to fully understand the applicable charges.

b. Payment Schedules

Our payout schedule is consistent across all Enrollment Types: Once you have completed teaching your class, we will process your payment on the Sunday of that same week.

This means that as long as your class is marked as completed within the week, your earnings will be calculated and processed for payout on Sunday. The funds will then be transferred to your connected PayPal account, subject to PayPal’s own processing times.

  • Payouts are generally processed on the scheduled payout date.

  • If a class concludes later in the day, the payout may be processed the following morning.

  • Once processed, payments typically arrive in your PayPal account within 24 hours.

  • In rare circumstances, technical issues may delay payouts by up to 48 hours. Should this occur, please contact Support for assistance.

3. Linking Your PayPal Account

You will be asked to provide your PayPal account details when completing the “Become an Educator” application. To receive Nbparents payments, you must enter the email address associated with your PayPal account. Please note that you are required to register for a PayPal account if you do not already have one.

Educators are solely responsible for maintaining the security of both their PayPal account and their Nbparents account. Payments will be sent to the payout email address listed in the “PayPal Email” field of your Nbparents account settings. Educators should carefully monitor all account activity and promptly report any irregularities.

To provide additional security, any changes made to an Educator’s or Educator Organization’s PayPal payout email address will be subject to a 5-day hold period before becoming active.

When updating payout email addresses in PayPal, Educators and Educator Organizations must also update their corresponding Nbparents account at the same time. Failure to do so may result in delayed or failed payments. If the Nbparents team must intervene to resolve such issues, the affected account may also be subject to administrative fees.
