Educator’s Earnings and Disbursements Policy
Educator’s Earnings and Disbursements Policy
This “Educator’s Earnings and Disbursements Policy” is part of Nbparents’ Terms of Service and Educator Addendum (collectively, the “Agreement”). Any capitalized terms not defined in Educator’s Earnings and Disbursements Policy, will have the meaning as defined in the Terms of Service or Educator Addendum.
1. Educator Fee
Educators determine their earnings by setting “How much do you charge per hour”.
To enable you to access and use the Services to offer and sell Classes, Nbparents will charge you a Educator Fee each time a Learner enrolls in your Class.
- The “Educator Fee” is defined as Nbparents’s take rate of 40% of the Parent’s payment of a Class Price, and the Educator will receive 60% of the Class Price.
- For Parents who purchase and enroll in Classes there will be an additional charge of a “Marketplace Fee” that is considered an Other Fee (as defined in the Terms of Service) for Nbparents running and maintaining the platform, such as for payment processing, marketing and other services to support the platform. The Marketplace Fee will be excluded from the Educator Fee and not considered part of a Educator Payment.
2. Payout Mechanics
a. Payout Logistics
We send payouts to Educators via PayPal. For each section, you are paid 70% of the Class Price multiplied by the number of enrolled Learners [0.7 x (Class Price x number of Learners)].
Regardless of location, all Educators are paid via PayPal in the United States Dollar (USD). If you transfer money from PayPal to a bank outside the US that uses a different currency, the bank may charge you a fee for conversion to local currency using their own currency exchange rate. Nbparents is not responsible for these fees, so please contact your bank or credit card company to learn more.
b. Payment Schedules
No matter the Enrollment Type, our payout timing follows the same schedule: Once you have completed teaching your class, we will process your payment on the Sunday of that same week.
This means that as long as your class is marked as completed within the week, your earnings will be calculated and paid out on Sunday. The payment will then be transferred to your connected account according to the processing time of your selected payment method.
Payouts are typically processed on the scheduled payout date. However, if a class meets later in the day, the payout may be processed the following morning. Once processed, it may take up to 24 hours for the payment to arrive in your account.
In rare cases, technical issues may delay payouts by up to 48 hours. If this happens, contact Support for assistance.
3. Linking Your PayPal Account
You will be asked to provide your PayPal account when filling out the "Become an Educator" application. To receive Nbparents payments, you’ll need to enter the email address associated with your PayPal account. Please note that you must sign up for PayPal if you don’t already have an account.
Educators are responsible for maintaining their own account security. Payments will be sent to the payout email address that is in the “PayPal Email” field in your account settings, so Educators should monitor all activity on their NBparents account while reporting any irregular activities. To provide an extra level of security, all changes made to a Educator or a Educator Organization's PayPal payout email address are subject to a 5-day hold.
When updating payout emails in PayPal, Educators and Educator Organizations are responsible for updating their corresponding Nbparents account simultaneously. Failure to do so may result in not receiving payments, and the impacted account may be subject to fees if the Nbparents team needs to take additional action to help remedy payment.
