I would not really say that I have or ever have had a "knack" for academics, but I do have a knack for working hard. I truly believe there are no inherently “intelligent” or “unintelligent” people—just different starting points. With enough effort, anyone can level the playing field. Although some people may understand math quicker than others, all it takes is an extra sprinkle of effort to level the playing field. I have quite a bit of experience teaching younger kids maths ranging from Pre-Algebra, to Calculus 1 & 2, to the SAT math section.
